Lemon Berry Torte
Ingredients:
• 1 box of lemon cake mix
• 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
• 7 oz jar of marshmallow cream
• 8 oz tub of Cool Whip dessert topping, thawed
• 1 jar of Treehouse Berry Farm Red Raspberry Jam
Directions:
• Bake cake according to box instructions and bake in 8” or 9” round pans.
• When cooled, split each layer in half with cake or bread knife.
• Mix cream cheese, marshmallow cream and cool whip in a large bowl.
• Cover each layer of cake with the creamy mixture, finishing the top with a thin layer.
• Top cake with Treehouse Berry Farm Raspberry Jam. If preferred, you may warm the jam a little prior to spreading.
Other variations we have tried and enjoyed:
• Lemon cake with Blueberry Jam or Boysenberry Jam
• Devil’s Food cake with Red Raspberry Jam or Sour Cherry Jam
• White cake with just about any kind of jam!
We also take cubes of baked cake and layer it with the cream mixture and then drizzle with jam in a trifle bowl. Very pretty!
